A journey to the exhibition. Impressions.
Preparation over a long period of time, everyday work for 12 hours per day-and-night without days-off. You see, it is necessary to do in time a lot of things. Tiredness, but pleasant, as we are busy with OUR business, with beloved business of all our life. Till the last day until we got into the train we and our closest people did not think it possible to happen that we through our own efforts will succeed in organizing of our participation and our journey to Germany to the exhibition. But the event has taken place and we are in Munster. A small town, very nice and very understandable for a person, who has found oneself in it for the first time. It is impossible to get lost in it, as everything is quite available and understandable.
The first day. The day, when all the participants lay out their exposition, make acquaintance with other participants. Even on the first day we felt an interest to our works. It was interesting to learn the opinion of the galleryist Irina Myzina (The Vakhtanov Gallery, Moscow), because our works have been seldom exhibited at her gallery. It was pleasant to hear from her, that our bears are “very much alive”. People from different countries of the world – collectors, as well as shop, Teddy-clubs owners exposed their interest for our works. Certainly, this fact made us happy. It means, that we have been working not in vain for a whole year. Our bears are needed by someone. And this is a great victory for us. All the year we almost did not leave our workshop, which is located in the basement. And now this is our first going “out of the cave”. It turned to be a bright ray of light, opening for us a long way in our interesting creative life. Naturally for exhibiting of our exposition we wished to decorate our stand by maximum with additional accessories, underlying the character of our bears. But the transportation of these accessories from Moscow to Germany is quite complex. That is why we came to nothing more than several lamps for illumination, a table-cloth, decorative pillows and a firm signboard. Those seemed to us to be moderate, but with signs of taste. The moderateness of the exposition did not influenced the reaction of the visitors of the exhibition.
Especially it stuck in our memory the reaction of the people to the brought by us bear, sewed of the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda” (the bear “Sashik”, the author Grigoryeva Tatyana). “Newspaper bear?» - everybody kept asking us with astonishment and giving a stroke to the bear’s forehead and paws. “ Newspaper, newspaper» - we answered affirmatively. That bear has created a furor. Everybody, who was passing our stand noticed it and with the exclamation “ Newspaper!” – fail to stop stroking it in order to make sure of it. We began to worry, that because of often touching the newspaper could be rubbed away. We decided to put a sign on it: “Please, do not touch with hands!” The basket with sweets, which it was holding in front of itself, was empted by the end of the day. We decided to put coins into it and to put one more signboard «I’m collecting for mohair!” However all our ideas remained unrealized, as there turned out a connoisseur of everything unusual and unexpected and has acquired from us the “ Newspaper bear ”, after which the buyer was surrounded with the crowd, which kept on exclaiming: “ Newspaper bear!” It was astonishing for us the fact, that different people liked absolutely different bears of our exposition. We have had such first-hand contact with bear-lovers for the first time, and it gave us a great impulse of positive energy, which we intend to direct for realization of our further creative plans …
